Cadet College Swat (CCS) is a joint venture of the provincial Govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pakistan Army. It is a flagship educational institution in Malakand Division. The College was established in recognition of the relentless sacrifices rendered by the people of Swat during the era of terrorism. To restore the confidence of the local people after the successful military operation in 2009-10, the then Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani, NI (M), HI and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Ameer Haider Khan Hoti agreed to establish a Cadet College in Swat, Gulibagh. The College is considered a symbol of peace and enlightenment in the post-conflict era in Malakand Division in addition to spreading the light of knowledge.
The College is located 18 miles outside Mingora city on the main Mingora-Kalam Road at the scenic Gulibagh valley with a spectacular view of river Swat. It has been a trendsetter in imparting quality education and grooming the young, raw talent of the Malakand division in particular and the rest of Pakistan in general. Though, it is new to the comity of educational institutions but has earned laurels in academics as well as in co-curricular activities in a short span of time. The College strives round the clock to shape youngsters to mould them into useful citizens to bring positive change in society.
