Chief Engineer (Power), Energy Department, Government of Punjab invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candidates, domiciled in Punjab, to fill up the following temporary posts on a contract basis for a period of two years under the project – Establishment of Meter Testing Lab and Additional Electric Inspector offices in Punjab”. The requisite qualification /experience and other conditions are given as under:-

1. Applications for BS-11 and above (Sr. No. 01 to 04) should be submitted online through this link: www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk.
2. Applications below BS-11 (Sr. No 5 to 8) shall be submitted on plain paper clearly mentioning the name of the post in the Office of Chief Engineer (Power), Floor, Central Design Building, Irrigation Secretariat, Old Anarkali, Lahore, (Attested copies of all relevant documents including education certificates, CNIC, Domicile, Experience, 3-Nos. passport size photographs, etc. must be sent along with the application).
3. Five (05) years relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible against above said posts for males and eight (08) years for females.
4. The Contract Appointment is temporary in nature, non-transferable, job/post specific, non-pensionable & conferring no right for regularization, Recruitment against the aforementioned posts will be processed in the light of the Finance Department’s Notification dated 21.05.2008 and S&GAD’s Notification dated 23.07.2014.
5. Candidates already working in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Bodies may apply through the proper channels.
6. The recruitment will be made strictly on merit from all Punjab bases in accordance with the Rules, selection criteria and other provisions of Recruitments and Contract Appointment Policy-2004 of S&GAD amended from time to time.
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview.
8. These appointments will be made purely on a contract basis for a period of 02 years which can be extended/reduced up to the project period with the approval of the competent authority.
9. The competent authority reserves the right to increase/reduce the No. of posts.
10. No TA / DA will be paid to the candidates for test/interview.
11. 15% quota for females, 3% for disabled and 5% for minorities are reserved.
12. Transgender are encouraged to apply.
13. The last date for submission of applications is 02.11.2021 up to 5:00 PM.
