BALOCHISTAN PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
The Balochistan Public Service Commission is Governed by the Balochistan Public Service Commission Act,1989 and the Balochistan Public Service Commission (Functions) Rules,1995 promulgated in pursuance of Article 242 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973.
All the vacant posts, falling in the direct recruitment quota (BPS-16 and above), are referred to BPSC for selection of the candidates. Other than departmental examinations, if the government departments so desire, the Commission also recommends suitable candidates for the posts below BPS-16 that fall in the direct recruitment quota.
Having been eligible to apply for a particular post, the candidates have to appear in a written screening test/examination that consists of either objective or subject type papers or both.
Passing marks vary from paper to paper and from examination to examination.
Only those candidates who qualify for the written test are called for viva voce.
The final result is compiled by combining scores in the written test and viva voce. the Commission is being computerized and soon there will computer adaptive test for posts whose candidates are screened through written objective type papers.
